Chris Taramasco has 26 years of healthcare experience within HCA. Since 2006 she has served as the Chief Nursing Officer at several Florida hospitals including: Englewood Community Hospital, Central Florida Regional Hospital, and is currently the Chief Nursing Officer at Brandon Regional Hospital, a 438-bed facility. Mrs. Taramasco has been certified in Nursing Administration from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. In addition, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and a Master’s degree in Nursing-Executive Leadership from the Research College of Nursing.
Mrs. Taramasco is able to engage and effectively lead others to stellar results through her engaging and visionary style. She began her career as a staff nurse and clinical educator, led a comprehensive cancer center and has grown into a proven dynamic leader with many notable accomplishments. In her previous positions, some of those accomplishments include: development of professionally cohesive nursing teams, implementation of Shared Governance, leading initiatives for ED safety and efficiency, improvement in RN turnover rates, development of Patient & Family Advisory Boards and the enhancement of the provision of patient care.
Mrs. Taramasco is currently a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives, serves on the board of Brandon Outreach Clinic, and participates in multiple community events and activities throughout the year. She has given various presentations to the public and professionals in Nursing; most recently at the HCA CNO Summit.
Mrs. Taramasco is married and resides in Lithia, Florida.
